Meet the Team!
I'm Dr Yong Hsin Ning
I'm the Founding Partner of The Biz Lab and I have a passion for help people like you translate their brilliant ideas into business realities.
In case you’ve never heard of me, here’s why I’m qualified to tell you about how your dream can become reality...when you follow my advice:
I am a serial entrepreneur, so I know all about the pain of building a business from scratch, and how to avoid costly mistakes (The Biz Lab is my second venture).
I am an award-winning educator in entrepreneurship and business transformations, and I have helped many people cut short the process to create new businesses or take existing ones to new heights by marrying science and art.
My team and I have successfully coached early-stage entrepreneurs to develop and deliver business pitches that attract government and private investor funding.
I'm Yvette Lim
Partner at The Biz Lab and also the Founder/CEO of our sister company, Kwik Look.
Here's why I'm qualified to guide you in your adventure:
I have "been there done that" - I am a serial entrepreneur who has succeeded and failed in multiple businesses, and lived to tell the tale.
I'm on "the other side" of the fence - I am also an angel investor, and I understand what will make investors part with their money.
In my previous life in corporate, I have evaluated complex multi-million dollar deals and decisions internationally, as a lead regional economist with the Shell Group of Companies.
I'm Dr Lim Chon-Phung
Startup Mentor and Advisor at The Biz Lab.
I have spent more than 3 decades in Hewlett-Packard and Oracle Corporation as a member of the Senior Leadership Team.
In 2015, I retired from the corporate world to pursue my passions in research, teaching and community development.
I am currently a Research Fellow and Adjunct Faculty at the Lee Kong Chian School of Business and an Affiliated Faculty with the Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship at the Singapore Management University.
In parallel, I am working with a network of NGOs in Northern Samar, the Philippines, to develop local entrepreneurship as a possible pathway out of extreme poverty in rural communities.
Finally, I am a partner in a private angel investment group and an advisor and board member to several startups in Singapore, India, and the USA.
