Hi! I'm Dr YONG Hsin Ning

How It All Started

Some call it a mid-life crisis.

It all started when I wanted to find something that fulfilled my personal and professional aspirations, but I didn’t know what I was looking for.  The search for the elusive ‘thing’ led me to leave the corporate world after 20 years and took a leap of faith into the unfamiliar territories of academia and entrepreneurship.

The Initial Journey

As a first-time entrepreneur, I felt ill-equipped to run a business.  There were times where I felt overwhelmed with anxiety because I didn’t know whether I was doing the right things (or doing things right).

As such, I invested an immense amount of money, time and energy into learning the secrets behind starting and sustaining successful businesses.  I sought out business mentors who were experts in their trade and spent significant resources to experiment the newly acquired knowledge on my business.

Finding My Purpose

By leveraging upon my unique roles as an entrepreneur and an educator in applied learning, I was able to structure these insights into a systematic approach for entrepreneurs and businesses to translate a business concept into viable commercial reality.

This approach is simple and easy to apply to most businesses.  I have used variations of this approach to develop and deliver programmes that enable >500 undergraduates and entrepreneurs with little experience to deliver robust business plans in a very short time.

Many of these ideas have been translated into viable commercial initiatives by the entrepreneurs and businesses.
